Does it cost anything to browse the listings?
No, it is entirely free to browse.
Why not just get a hotel room at the shore?
There are many reasons to not get a hotel room at the shore. First reason is there are not many hotel rooms at the shore. Most shore towns are quaint little towns without large hotel chains. Second reason is cost. When you rent a hotel you generally don't have a kitchen. Most of the homes on this site will have a kitchen and you can cook your own meals thus saving money versus going out to eat every night. Also, the amenities in a rental house are usually far more plentiful than in a hotel.
How do I contact the owner of the property?
The owner should leave contact information in the listing (e-mail or phone)
What do I need to bring with me?
You need to arrange that with the owner. Owners are given the opportunity to include provided items in the listings such as towels, soap, etc.
Do I need to pay a security deposit?
That depends on the owner. Some owners may require one while others may not.
How will I pay for my vacation rental?
You will need to arrange this with the owner. Some owners collect on-line payments and others do not.
Are there any airports near the New Jersey shore?
Most of the New York city airports are within driving distance to the New Jersey shore along with the Philadelphia International Airport. Atlantic City also has an airport.
What major highway is associated with the New Jersey Shore area?
The Garden State Parkway runs along the entire length of the shore area.
